Including courses in both communication and business, the program at Southwestern Adventist University equips students with practical experience in creating engaging digital and print media, rich audio and video content, and managing teams in corporate and professional settings.
Our program provides unique access for future media specialists and prepares students for a career as a:

U.S. News & World Report ranked PR as the No. 3 best creative and media job in the country. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment for public relations specialists will grow 6 percent by the year 2024, and PR is also becoming more integrated and relevant to marketing efforts, which opens even more employment and growth opportunities.

"The communication emphasis in advertising and public relations was by far the best decision I could have made for myself. This program allowed me to dig deeper into my creative side, broaden my knowledge of content creation and company awareness, and allowed me to grow in every aspect. The professors were always there to help guide and assist in any way they could, and if they didn't know the answer they wouldn't give up.
The classes were very hands-on and allowed me to get a first-hand feel for content design, marketing proposals, and branding content. I am very thankful for my family who paved the way and allowed me to go to SWAU, and to my professors and friends who supported me throughout my time here."
