Financial Aid Application Steps 

Step 1 

Apply to SWAU

Acceptance to the University is required before a student can be awarded federal or state aid. To check your acceptance status, contact the Office of Enrollment Management at 817-202-6749. 

Step 2 

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Request a Federal Student Aid ID (FSAID) at the Federal Student Aid FSAID website (students and parents use FSAID as an electronic signature on the FAFSA). 

Complete an application online at the Federal Student Aid FAFSA website.

Step 3 

Complete and submit any financial aid forms requested by the Department of Student Financial Services needed for verification. 

Step 4 

The student will be able to access their financial information after they have been accepted.
