Students who love nature in all its complexity will want to pursue a B.S. Biology, Ecology, and Conservation Biology Emphasis. Graduates will be prepared to pursue a career in the stewardship of natural resources or research in ecology or organismal biology. This program emphasizes hands-on learning through a wide variety of field research opportunities. 

This program enables students to be a part of research with critical insight into current issues, expanding their ability to: 

• Interpret statistics regarding habitat microbalances 
• State and develop relative hypotheses relating to ecological science 
• Effectively discern data to interpret new conclusions
