In our program, you'll enjoy classic literature, lively writing workshops, and lots of human interaction. Close-knit classes and caring professors will help you gain skills in:

In addition, students gain valuable teaching experience and human service skills through interning at the Write Spot, our campus writing center. Equipped with this variety of skills and experiences, graduates in English are prepared to stay grounded, connected, and compassionate in our fast-moving world.  

Graduates with a B.A. in English often pursue careers such as:
