Understand what shaped nations and evolved cultures.
A common misconception about a degree in history is that it only leads to teaching careers. The opportunities are much broader than that. The Department of History and Social Science at SWAU encourages students to not only learn about history but to interpret and define it actively.
History majors will gain experience in research that will develop their understanding of the history, cultures, and governments that shaped today’s societies. The history program at Southwestern Adventist University prepares students for careers as a:
