Dr. Ken Shaw served as the 25th president of Southwestern Adventist University from 2014-2021. His wife, Ann, was by his side taking on the role of campus interior designer. Southwestern Adventist University was blessed in countless ways by the leadership and dedication of Dr. Ken and Ann Shaw. The changes made to our campus are tangible, in the form of the Larry R. Moore Nursing and Administration Building and various remodeled spaces, and intangible, by way of their servant leadership that led to vibrant community partnerships and relationships. The commitment that Dr. Ken and Ann Shaw demonstrated for this institution and the love they had for the student body was evidenced by their enthusiasm for the establishment of an endowed scholarship.

Scholarship award requirements

The Dr. Ken & Ann Shaw Presidential Endowed Scholarship will be awarded to students who are juniors and seniors that demonstrate purpose, talent, and leadership. Recipients will be designated as “Presidential Scholars.”
