Southwestern Adventist University is pleased to introduce Handshake, a web platform and mobile app which gives businesses direct access to recruit top talent. The platform provides company recruiters the ability to connect directly to SWAU students, manage job postings and internship opportunities at the click of a button and work directly with campus career service staff for any assistance recruiting qualified students for internships, part-time and full-time positions.
SWAU values thriving relationships with businesses across a variety of industries and its students have consistently been recognized in the workplace for their excellent performance, their character and their integrity.
“Through the years, SWAU has provided Civitas several interns who have worked in multiple departments,” shares Cooper Vittitow, president and co-founder of Civitas Senior Living. “It has been my experience that these students are hardworking, passionate and simply put, very impressive. In fact, SWAU interns have changed my thoughts on what an intern can truly provide to a company such as Civitas – and because they were so valuable to us during their time as interns, they became a part of the team. We hired several students out of the internship program and those interns have been keys pieces of Civitas’ success. We look forward to the continued partnership with SWAU and its internship program.”
Each year, hundreds of the university’s students intern with dozens of companies and organizations across the DFW Metroplex and across America. Handshake will make it possible for even more students to access these opportunities and businesses to discover the university’s thriving talent.
SWAU officially launches the platform on February 15. Businesses interested in joining SWAU’s Handshake platform can contact one of the university’s career service team members directly at pathways@swau.edu or via phone at 817-202-6416.
