Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

SWAU is committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

In 2015, Southwestern Adventist University was designated a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) by the US Department of Education, which reflects our undergraduate enrollment of Latinx/Chicanx students. SWAU is one of three adventist universities to become an HSI.

Because of this title, SWAU faculty, staff, and students are eligible to apply for Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) grants, internships and partnerships.
