Outreach Center
The Southwestern Counseling and Outreach Center is aimed at helping our local community by providing counseling and coaching services to residents of Johnson County who are in need of counseling and spiritual guidance but may not be financially able to receive care, free of charge. The SCOC operates out of Southwestern Adventist University and is supervised by the Education and Psychology Department and the Office of Student Services. The center is staffed by Southwestern faculty and master-level student interns.
The SCOC provides services for adults, children, families, and groups.
Treatment options include, but are not limited to:
- Marriage Counseling/Pre-marital Counseling
- Family Counseling/Pastoral Counseling
- Interpersonal Relationships
- Mood Disorders (Depression, Anxiety, etc.)
- Group Counseling
