Financial Aid Application steps.
Step 1
Apply for Admission to Southwestern
Acceptance to the university is required before a student can be awarded federal or state aid. To check your acceptance status, you may contact the Office of Enrollment Management at (800) 645-3921 ext. 6749 (817) 202-6749.
Step 2
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by:
- Request a Federal Student Aid ID (FSAID) at the Federal Student Aid FSAID Web site (Student and parents use FSAID as an electronic signature on the FAFSA).
- Complete an application online at the Federal Student Aid FAFSA Web site.

Step 3
Complete and submit any financial aid forms requested by the Department of Student Financial Services needed for verification.
Step 4
When all documents have been received and verified, your aid will be awarded and you will receive an Award Notification in the mail. You may also view your awards on your Student Portal after you have made your Commitment Deposit.
