More Than a Degree Endowed Scholarship

Samson is a graduate of Southwestern Adventist University. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Theology in 2019. He lives in Tulsa Oklahoma with his wife Natali Sembeba and is the lead pastor of the First Adventist Church. He has a passion for ministry, college-age students, and education. 

When he first arrived on the campus of Southwestern Adventist University, he thought all he was going to get out of his experience were awesome memories, friendships, and a degree. Though he did receive those very exact things coming to this university, he learned that our colleges have way more to offer us. He ended up writing a book, More Than A Degree, helping students to open their eyes to all that is around them when they walk on a college campus. He believes the stigma of a college experience being, "it's just a paper" doesn't apply to those that want to get more. The book led to the idea of opening up a scholarship at the university that helped him see the beauty of getting the most out of college. This scholarship is created to encourage and help those students that are seeking to get the most out of their college experience. If you believe in getting the most out of your college experience you are encouraged to help get those students through college who want to do just that by giving to this endowment.
