Looking for a career path that includes managing teams and projects for a company or business? The B.B.A. Management concentration prepares you to efficiently administer business practices. Even if you don’t necessarily think of yourself as a businessperson, a degree in management provides practical skills in making businesses operate more effectively, managing the people in your organization and strategizing.
Southwestern Adventist University’s management concentration provides you with education and training in theoretical and applied management principles and functions. The Department of Business Administration’s emphasis is placed on skills in communication, human resources, decision-making and organizational behavior.
Some of our graduates choose to continue their education in graduate school resulting in successful careers in many of these fields at an even higher level.
Job Outlook
The job outlook for individuals with management degrees continues to improve. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, between 2018 and 2028:
- A need of 161,100 additional jobs for supervisors of office and administrative support workers.
- Human resources specialists will find about 33,000 new jobs.
- An additional 12,300 human resource managers will be needed.
