HILL COLLEGE AND SWAU SIGN ARTICULATION AGREEMENT
KEENE, Texas - Hill College President Dr. Pam Boehm and Southwestern Adventist University President Dr. Ken Shaw signed an articulation agreement on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Johnson County Campus of Hill College. The articulation agreement defined transfer opportunities for students between the two educational institutions.
“This university partnership,” said Boehm, “is an example of creating opportunities for Hill College students to continue pursuing their undergraduate degrees right here in Johnson County."
The agreement states that Hill College students who follow the recommended program of study (common core and transfer curriculum), and who meet all other admission requirements, shall be eligible for admission to Southwestern Adventist University. Transfer students must meet the same standards and criteria for admission to a major degree sequence as a native SWAU student. The two colleges will create transfer and admissions guides to make the process easier for students.
“We appreciate this opportunity to work closer with our neighboring institution,” said Shaw. “This agreement provides better access for students in Johnson County, and greater efficiency for our processes. We look forward to working with Hill College to improve the students’ experience.”
