B.B.A. Marketing Emphasis in Professional Sales
Why study Professional Sales?
Despite overwhelming demand, only a handful of schools in the US offer a dedicated program in Sales. Ours was built by leading experts and industry stars.
What is Professional Sales?
The B.B.A. Marketing, Emphasis in Professional Sales, seeks to deliver this valuable skill to students and solve the skills gap that currently exists in our economy by providing students with relevant, project-based learning thus allowing them to develop one of the most sought-after skills in both Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing technology firms. This degree features a heavy focus on Relationship-Driven Selling, which is vital to ensuring long-term customer commitments in B2B sales. Additionally, all of the classes place an emphasis on hands-on learning, where students are not just learning theory, but instead putting those theories to practice in live sales environments with their professor and peers. The goal is to provide students with valuable on-the-job experience that will prepare them for the positions they ultimately end up filling once they graduate. The Professional Sales program is designed to hone the skills most in demand by sales teams and build familiarity with a broad range of practical selling techniques that can be immediately applied on the job.
Why is it practical?
Sales Managers have a median annual salary of $126,640. Despite the fact that there are nearly 6 million salespeople in the US, only 2,500 students major in sales each year.
Why is it unique or exciting?
Over 40% of jobs, and countless daily activities - deciding where to go to dinner, for example - have some component of sales built in. Sales is not just a professional skill that will lead to a good job - sales teaches empathy, compassion and listening skills that apply to our everyday lives.
