Southwestern Adventist University’s Department of Business Administration is pleased to add B.B.A. Project Management, B.B.A. Certified Financial Planning and B.B.A. Marketing with an Emphasis in Professional Sales to its diverse array of concentrations/emphasis. With these additions, the business department now offers a dozen tracks within its Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

B.B.A. Project Management
The project management concentration provides key skills for students who seek to take on a variety of project and program management tasks within an organization. Upon Graduation, students will be prepared to confidently complete the PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.

B.B.A. Certified Financial Planning
The certified financial planning concentration is accredited by Certified Financial Planning (CFP) Board. Students who take the CFP courses will be well on their way to becoming licensed as a Certified Financial Planner, a key designation that gives professionals a leg up in the field.

The B.B.A. Marketing, Emphasis in Professional Sales
The emphasis in professional sales is a specialized marketing concentration that features a heavy focus on relationship-driven selling, which is vital to ensuring long-term customer commitments in B2B sales. The program is designed to hone the skills most in demand by sales teams and build familiarity with a broad range of practical selling techniques that can be immediately applied on the job.

The new programs are being offered in partnership with the Lower Cost Models for Independent Colleges Consortium (LCMC). Students will take core and cognate classes on campus while experiencing the concentration specific courses alongside classmates from across the country learning directly from industry leaders and lecturers. The partnership with LCMC merges SWAU’s high quality Christian education with targeted programs focused on preparing the next generation of business leaders.
