As the Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences, our aims are to help you:
- Gain an understanding of basic mathematics and its application to solving problems expressible by algebraic equations and inequalities.
- Understand the fundamental concepts of mathematics so that you can teach the subject on the elementary or secondary level.
- Develop a solid foundation in the area of mathematics, which will prepare you to pursue further studies in mathematics, the physical sciences, economics and the engineering sciences.
The aim of the chemistry program is to help you develop the ability to think critically and creatively. The chemistry curriculum is designed to provide you with a strong background in the areas of:
- Organic chemistry
- Biochemistry
- Analytical chemistry
- Physical chemistry
