Austen Powell

Austen Powell was born and raised in the Lone Star State of Texas and is a proud SWAU alum. Before accepting his position here at SWAU as the Project Director for Pathways to Success, he attended seminary for three cold years at Andrews University in Michigan. Powell enjoyed his experience there and the long-lasting friendships he made during that time. Nonetheless, he will take Texas winters and summers over Michigan's winters anytime. Prior to his time in Michigan, he was Associate Pastor at the Cleburne SDA Church. Powell loves working with young people and coaching them to succeed and grow in their faith. His hobbies include working out, basketball, tennis and reading. He is excited to be working alongside all the passionate people that make the SWAU family so great.
