After graduating from Southwestern Adventist University with a Bachelor’s of Biology, Dr. Erin Maloney joined a biomedical research lab at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Tyler, Texas. She studied the bacteria that cause tuberculosis to learn about how this disease might be treated more effectively. After she completed her doctorate, Maloney worked as a life sciences teacher at Ouachita Hills College in rural Arkansas. Through the years, she remained involved with Southwestern's Dinosaur Project, traveling to Wyoming every summer to help recover and study fossils. When Maloney is not teaching or digging for bones, she loves to spend time with her husband and their daughter. Some of their favorite activities include exploring the parks, trails, museums and restaurants in Fort Worth and Dallas. Some weekends, they prefer to stay home and relax with the cows at their family ranch.
