Southwestern Adventist University to Host 22nd Annual Homecoming Golf Classic

Join Southwestern Adventist University and a group of avid golfers on April 12, 2019 at The Retreat in Cleburne, TX for an enjoyable round of golf, while having the opportunity to support student scholarships. Held in conjunction with Alumni Homecoming weekend, the 22^nd Annual Homecoming Golf Classic has become a highly anticipated event.

Sponsorships are available at varying levels of support ranging from player registration to logo placements such as the Title Sponsor, Tournament Sponsor, Eagle Sponsor, Birdie Sponsor, Par Sponsor, Hole Sponsor, or Green Sponsor. 

“Over the past few years, the golf committee has worked tirelessly to increase the number of sponsors and players in order to raise the number of scholarships given to Southwestern Adventist University students,” said Kisha Norris, Senior Director of Development. “Last year,

we were able to raise $16,000 for scholarships and this year we plan to raise even more than before.”

Proceeds benefit the First-in-Family Scholarship Program. This program offers the opportunity to first generation college students to continue their education in a Christ-centered environment.

Carmen Amigon, an education major at Southwestern Adventist University, shares her words of appreciation, “I am grateful for this program that has helped me fulfill a dream that I thought I would never be able to achieve. I appreciate so much the generosity and support of these sponsors.”

“As a working father, sometimes situations get rough, but I pray to God. Thanks to the numerous sponsors, many students, such as myself, can continue attending this school,” shared Erick Torres, a nursing student at Southwestern Adventist University.
