The 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend Knight Invitational Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament was held at Southwestern Adventist University from Thursday, January 17 to Monday, January 21, 2019. The event featured twelve basketball games over the course of four days that showcased both men’s and women’s basketball teams from Southwestern Adventist University, Andrews University, Burman University, North American University, and Richland College.

“I was absolutely satisfied with the outcome of the tournament event as a whole,” says Tyler Wooldridge, Southwestern Adventist University’s Athletic Director. “The event ran smoothly and each team we hosted was very vocal about the great time they had on our campus.”

The MLK Intercollegiate tournament provides an opportunity for the basketball teams to enjoy friendly competition with one another. Woolridge says that the University will add additional teams next year as it is a great weekend for sports and fellowship.
