Southwestern Adventist University is pleased to announce the appointment of Vonda (Nicholas) Seals as the new Director of Alumni Relations.  Seals attended the University, when it was known as Southwestern Adventist College, from 1985-1987.

An Oklahoma native, Seals graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a B.A. in English in 1990. She married another Southwestern Adventist College graduate, Roy Seals (Class of 1987). The couple has three children. Together they spent the next 29 years working at boarding schools, the latest being Mount Pisgah Academy in Asheville, North Carolina.

Seals joins the Office of Advancement team with a variety of skills gleaned from years working to engage students and alumni at various Adventist boarding schools.

“I am thrilled to have Vonda join our Advancement team,” says Tami Condon, Vice President for Advancement. “Her passion for Southwestern Adventist University, along with her spirit of warm hospitality, will be a welcome addition to the SWAU family.”

"I am so excited to be back home at my alma mater,” Seals shares. “I have a passion for our school, my fellow alumni, and our youth. I look forward to continue making connections with our alumni and reaching out more to our young alumni, making sure that all of our alumni feel welcome and at home on our campus.  I am excited to be part of the Southwestern Adventist University family and look forward to working with all of the extended members that call this University home."

Seals officially joined the Southwestern Adventist University family on July 1, 2016.
